Enugu needs no other party, says PDP
Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has declared that the people of the state has no need for another political party, saying Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has wiped away their tears, having kept his campaign promises. Ugwuanyi Speaking at Ikem and Nkwo Nike during the inauguration of newly-elected PDP executives in Isi-Uzo and Enugu East Local Government areas, respectively, state Chairman of PDP, Mr. Augustine Nnamani, praised the efforts of the state government, saying the governor’s unprecedented developmental strides and peace initiatives had made the repositioning process of the party easy. Nnamani noted that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi had kept his campaign promises to the people through massive roads construction with drainage, brand new classroom blocks for public schools as well as other infrastructure, especially in the rural areas. The party chairman enjoined the newly-inaugurated party executives to remain steadfast and deploy their effort to mobilise and sensitise the people at the grassroots on the good works of the governor ahead of 2019 elections. He said: “In Enugu, we do not have need for another party because the governor has put smiles on the faces of the people. We believe in what we see; nobody will bring propaganda here because the government is doing well.” In their various speeches, the council chairmen of the two local governments, Benjamin Edoga, Isi-uzo and Prince Cornelius Nnaji, Enugu East, praised the development efforts of Governor Ugwuanyi.
