Women’s AFCON: Nigeria draw Ghana, Mali, Kenya

The draw for the women’s African Cup of Nations took place in Camerron on Sunday, with defending champions Nigeria drawn against Mali, Ghana and Kenya. Group A will be contested by hosts Cameroon, Egypt, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Kenya will be participating in the tournament for the first time in their history while Zimbabwe will look to build on their performances which saw them qualify for the Olympics earlier this year. Nigeria’s Super Falcons have won the competition in all of the previous nine editions. The women’s AFCON will be held in Cameroon between 19 November and 3 December this year.
