Why I retired from football – Okocha

Austin Jay Jay Okocha has attributed his decision to retire early from active football to lack of enough playing time. The ex-Nigeria international who dazzled the footballing world with his sizzling skills and breathtaking performances made the shock decision to leave the game in 2008. According to the Olympic Gold medallist, reduced minutes on the pitch of play triggered his exile from the round leather game, at the age of 34. Okocha “I must confess that not getting a lot of playing time was the main reason why I retired from playing at a very young age,” Okocha told media men at a press conference organised by Star Times. “I believe that it is not worth it to train from Monday to Friday just to have 20 minutes on the pitch or sit on the bench on Saturday. I am very competitive.” The midfielder who last represented Nigeria in 2006, appeared for the Super Eagles 75 times with 14 goals to his name.

Cristiano Ronaldo signs eye-boggling €24m a year deal with Nike that'll last through his life time

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo, just days after signing a new massive deal with Real Madrid has signed a new improved deal with Sports Wear giant Nike worth €24m a year, and according to the Real Madrid and Portugal legend the deal with Nike is 'for life'.
Ronaldo has been with Nike since 2003 and is the most famous and marketable athlete right now with Forbes listing him as the top earning athlete of 2016, as he raked in a staggering $88M from 2015-2016.
Now Nike have confirmed their new deal with Ronaldo in a statement saying:
''In 2003, a young Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Nike. In the years since, he has worn more than 60 different Nike Mercurial boots, scoring goals, breaking records, and amassing trophies along the way.'  "The successful partnership between Nike and Ronaldo will continue well into the future with a new, long-term contract."
Ronaldo issued a video statement saying the contract is for life;
“I have a great relationship with this brand, I have great friends here in the company.” “We work as a family too" “This is my brand” This is for life."
With this new deal, Ronaldo becomes the third athlete to sign lifetime deals with the Sports Wear giants, after Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Tupac's handwritten letter sent from prison sells for over $170,000

A handwritten letter by late rapper, Tupac Shakur, which he wrote while he was in prison at New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility in 1995 has been sold recently for $172,725. The four-page letter was addressed to former Death Row Records employee Nina Bhadreshwar to be published for the youth to read..
The title of the letter was: “Is Thug Life Dead?”

Then part of the body of the letter read:
“I did not begin thug life, I just personified it,” the letter reads. “I couldn’t stop it if I tried but in my heart the thug n—- has advanced 2 be a Boss Playa.
So No Thug Life is Not Dead but in my heart it is. If U are sharp u will learn from this.”

Doctors Order Janet Jackson to Rest Amid Pregnancy Complications

Janet Jackson's doctors have asked her to spend some time off her feet.

The 50-year-old singer is currently pregnant with her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana, and a source tells E! News she is now under "doctor's orders to rest" until the baby comes.

"She is doing OK and resting until she is due for her baby," the insider explains. The latest development in her pregnancy comes after the mom-to-be experienced complications, according to the source.

Not to worry though, our insider tells us, "[Janet] is aware of complications, but as of now doctors say she is OK."
